About the position

The Deputy Chief Information Officer (CIO) position at the Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing technical staff and managing various operational areas including Information Security, Financial Services, Customer Service, and Program Management. The role focuses on modernizing service delivery for the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) and requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills to ensure compliance and alignment with enterprise direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage technical staff across various operational areas.
• Oversee Information Security and Audit Compliance initiatives.
• Manage Financial and Support Services operations.
• Enhance Customer Service and Training programs.
• Direct Technical Management and Program Management efforts.
• Apply data strategies to improve service delivery.
• Ensure compliance across all systems and applications within DoIT at IDOC.
