Southwest Tennessee Community College is a comprehensive, multicultural, public, open-access college that offers over 100 programs and more than 20 technical certificate programs across its 7 campuses/centers. The Deputy Chief Information Officer (Deputy CIO) will play a crucial role in overseeing the execution of day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives within the Information Technology department. This position requires a detail-oriented, driven, and responsive leader who can implement best practices in managing a growing IT operation. The Deputy CIO will be responsible for managing the daily demands of the IT operation, which includes inputs into portfolio and project management, IT budget management, collaborative leadership of IT staff, and IT policy and communications management. The Deputy CIO will oversee IT service management and delivery operations, including Technology Operations, Application Services, Client Service and Support, Help Desk, and Media Services. This role will also involve setting expectations for IT staff and ensuring compliance and consistency in IT operations through the development and socialization of policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines. Additionally, the Deputy CIO will serve as a strategic advisor to the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Administrative Services and will engage with stakeholders to facilitate IT governance activities across the institution.
