About the position

The Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at TMF Health Quality Institute is responsible for overseeing advanced information security operations. This senior-level role involves managing a team, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, and providing strategic direction for cybersecurity initiatives. The position requires a proactive approach to security management, incident response, and collaboration with IT teams to implement effective security measures.

Responsibilities

• Plans, sets direction, manages, and provides critical support in the strategic and tactical planning for the design, implementation and use of cyber security technology.
• Oversees and implements new systems, services, procedures and techniques.
• Develops strategy for, builds and maintains highly functioning programs for security monitoring, vulnerability management, identity and access management, endpoint security, network security and application security.
• Manages, develops, updates, implements, and enforces security policies and procedures.
• Manages processes, Service Level Agreements, and relationships with outsourced security service providers.
• Works closely with Information Technology (IT) teams to develop technology security implementation plans in relation to regulatory compliance.
• Manages incident response activities and preparedness; leads and contributes to enterprise security breach response activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering or related discipline.
• At least one (1) Professional Security certification, such as CISSP, CCNA Security, CISM.
• Five (5) years in an Information Security operations related role.
• Three (3) years management or supervisory experience.
• Three (3) years in managing and developing Information Security technology and/or other technology teams.
• Experience leading projects.
• Experience in production support.
• Experience handling large volume of incident and service request tickets.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), preferred.
