About the position

The Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Facilities, and Environment (G-4) at the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC) is responsible for directing and managing Army-wide functional programs related to facilities, housing, energy, environmental management, and critical infrastructure. This senior-level position oversees a significant budget and a variety of multi-million-dollar base operation support programs, ensuring effective execution of the Army's strategic support area mission. The incumbent operates under broad policy guidance and is expected to provide policy oversight while managing extensive resources and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage Army-wide Facilities, Housing, Energy, Environmental, Critical Infrastructure, and Surety Management programs.
• Oversee Command Supply Discipline, Facilities, Housing, Energy, Environmental, and Military Construction planning and programming.
• Manage an annual budget of approximately $207M.
• Supervise personnel at the GS-15/COL and Executive level positions.
• Provide policy oversight for multi-million-dollar base operation support programs.
• Ensure effective execution of internal logistics and installation infrastructure plans and policies.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to manage and oversee installation operations, including internal logistics and infrastructure plans.
• Experience in leading and managing complex programs and resources.
• Ability to provide policy oversight and manage extensive facilities and environmental operations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in military construction and sustainment restoration and maintenance planning.
• Knowledge of the Army's Food Program and its modernization efforts.
