About the position

The Deputy Deployment Manager at ManTech is responsible for overseeing technical support and deployment projects, ensuring effective project management and communication with clients. This role involves guiding the deployment team, preparing deployment plans, and coordinating hardware installations while providing training and technical support to team members.

Responsibilities

  • Project management of assigned technical support and deployment projects as assigned by the client and contract PMO.
  • Provide guidance to the Deployment manager and prepare weekly and monthly performance reports, as well as daily reporting to the customer on critical issues and their resolutions.
  • Analyze and develop new hardware requirements and prepare specifications for hardware.
  • Direct and lead preparation of deployment plans and site installation project plans.
  • Develop hardware installation schedules and mobilize installation teams.
  • Provide hands-on experience and guidance to highly technical systems engineers.
  • Assist in deployment planning from ground-up in new sites and support decommissioning of a site.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Manager for deployment-related inventory and hardware orders.
  • Travel to customer sites to perform deployment activities including site surveys, hardware installation, and software installation.
  • Organize and direct hardware installations and support site surveys.
  • Conduct training sessions to ensure all team members are up to date on supported technology and provide Tier III network technical issue resolution.
  • Supervise direct reports for corporate timecards, trainings, and supervisory tasks.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology, workstation deployment, and project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making.
  • Experience in Customer Service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working in Department of State, specifically Consular Affairs and Passport.
  • PMP certification.
  • ITIL certification.
  • Experience with MS Project.
  • Experience with ServiceNow ticketing platform.
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT.
