About the position

The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library (B&ECPL) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This pivotal role involves overseeing the high-level administration of internal operations, including facilities, security, human resources, and information technology, ensuring the library's mission is effectively supported.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all high-level administration of internal operations.
  • Manage facilities and security operations.
  • Supervise human resources functions.
  • Direct information technology initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master's degree and five years of library administrative experience or five years of administrative experience in government or non-profit organizations.
  • Bachelor's degree and six years of library administrative experience or six years of administrative experience in government or non-profit organizations.
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of the above qualifications.
