About the position

The Deputy Director, Integrated Strategic Communications for US Pharmaceuticals at Bayer is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic communication initiatives that enhance the brand and reputation of Bayer Pharmaceuticals. This role focuses on internal communications, employee engagement, and executive visibility, ensuring alignment with business outcomes and fostering a strong community within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of clear, compelling, and creative content to inform and mobilize stakeholders.
  • Execute integrated employee communication strategies aligned with key timelines and budget.
  • Support multiple executives in US Pharmaceuticals with employee communications and executive visibility initiatives.
  • Drive participation and coordination for internal communications such as town halls and sales meetings.
  • Lead social media strategy and execution for the President of Bayer U.S. and other leaders.
  • Collaborate with product communicators to ensure corporate functions and reputational initiatives are represented.
  • Support the head of US Pharma communications in key message development and storytelling.
  • Create engaging ways to motivate and inspire Bayer US colleagues.
  • Establish an integrated strategy that leverages a compelling narrative and thought leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or Business Administration.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and delivering innovative communication strategies in a large organization.
  • Experience supporting senior executives and working with leadership teams.
  • Ability to produce clear and compelling content and communicate complex concepts effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven experience leading change and employee engagement programs.
  • Excellent oral presentation and influence skills.
  • Strong commercial focus and business acumen.

Nice-to-haves

  • 14+ years of experience in leading strategic communications programs, preferably in healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
