Responsibilities

  • Investigate Unfair Labor Practice charges and report findings to the Board.
  • Present cases at unfair labor practice hearings as qualified.
  • Determine probable cause for the Board to issue complaints regarding unfair labor practices.
  • Seek informal resolution of charges or complaints in collaboration with the Board.
  • Provide investigative materials and results to the Board for critique and direction.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Maryland or become licensed within one year of hiring.
  • Self-starting and self-motivated with relevant knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to understand and determine 'probable cause' regarding unfair labor practice charges.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills expected of a licensed attorney.
