About The Position
The Deputy Director of Marketplace Compliance & Program Integrity leads the overall Compliance program for Get Covered Illinois (GCI). This position is crucial in ensuring that Illinois's health marketplace adheres to all federal and state laws and regulations, while also safeguarding the personal information of Illinois residents. The Deputy Director will be responsible for developing and implementing GCI's privacy, data security, and appeals resolution functions. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a mission-driven individual to create new programming for a highly visible initiative aimed at expanding healthcare access in Illinois. Get Covered Illinois is the State of Illinois's Health Insurance Marketplace, designed to increase access, enrollment, affordability, and choice for individuals and families. The Deputy Director will manage the design, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the GCI Compliance Program, which includes establishing an annual compliance strategic plan, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing compliance training programs. The role also involves leading GCI's data practices, privacy, and security programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and managing a system for reporting data security incidents. In addition, the Deputy Director will oversee the appeals program and processes, ensuring that GCI's appeals representation is efficient and effective. This includes developing public-facing messaging related to appeals, coordinating with various departments, and analyzing appeal cases. The position also requires serving as a full line supervisor, providing guidance and training to staff, and fostering a culture of compliance within GCI. The Deputy Director will collaborate with GCI leadership and stakeholders to identify areas of concern and facilitate compliance efforts.
