About the position
The Deputy EMA Director assists the EMA Director in managing Emergency Management Operations for Jackson County. This role involves developing and maintaining emergency preparedness plans, coordinating countywide activities, conducting training programs, and managing budget preparations and reimbursement requests.
Responsibilities
- Assist the EMA Director with Emergency Management Operations.
- Develop and maintain various emergency preparedness plans and procedures.
- Coordinate countywide activities of county response personnel.
- Conduct training programs for emergency management staff.
- Prepare the annual budget and monthly reimbursement requests.
Requirements
- Experience in emergency management or related field.
