About the position

The Deputy General Manager at Regal Cinemas is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, handling cash management, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The Deputy General Manager plays a crucial role in training employees, maintaining inventory, and optimizing profits while providing an exceptional movie-going experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure regular and consistent attendance of staff.
  • Uphold and administer all Regal policies and brand standards.
  • Monitor risk management related to employee and guest safety.
  • Comply with all food safety rules and regulations.
  • Hire, train, develop, and supervise staff.
  • Train kitchen and service staff in their respective roles.
  • Maintain projection and sound technology for guest experience.
  • Direct kitchen and bar maintenance and sanitation programs.
  • Optimize profits by maintaining strict cost controls.
  • Conduct full monthly/quarterly inventories and maintain inventory controls.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and handle complaints effectively.
  • Count, deposit, and reconcile all receipts taken in during a business day.
  • Ensure food and beverage items are prepared according to standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and food prep areas.

Requirements

  • Valid ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training.
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role in a hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of cash management policies and procedures.
  • Ability to train and develop staff in various roles.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in high volume hospitality environments.
  • Degree in Business or related field.
