About the position

The Deputy Production Engineering Project Manager at Lockheed Martin is responsible for overseeing engineering technical, cost, and schedule performance on SEWIP Production Programs within the Maritime Cyber Electronic Warfare sub-market segment. This role involves managing technical issues, ensuring compliance with requirements, and collaborating with various teams to deliver products on time while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for engineering technical, cost, and schedule performance on SEWIP Production Programs.
  • Identify and close technical issues, ensuring all commitments to the program office are met or exceeded.
  • Track Estimated time to Complete/Earned Value Management (ETC/EVM) metrics to monitor program performance and identify risks.
  • Document, track, maintain, and verify requirements baseline.
  • Provide timely and accurate projections of engineering resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with Program Management to ensure organizational processes are adapted and followed.
  • Lead efforts to resolve complex problems in partnership with engineers and program managers.
  • Support US Navy SEWIP Fleet and Installation issues through engineering support.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with Manufacturing and Sourcing to ensure on-time delivery of products.
  • Lead and support major production subcontracts as the primary technical representative.

Requirements

  • Prior risk management experience and expertise.
  • Experience working with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and team-building skills.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
  • Ability to self-prioritize competing high-priority tasks.
  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance to at least the Secret level.

Nice-to-haves

  • Mechanical, Electrical or Systems/I&T Engineering background by education or professional experience.
  • Hands-on experience with designing, developing, and integrating complex EW or Radar systems/subsystems.
  • Prior IPT lead or EPM experience.
  • Experience with Configuration and Data Management (CDM) of Hardware.
  • Prior EPDM Technical Review Board (TRB) and/or Configuration Control Board (CCB) Chair experience.
