About the position

The Deputy Program Manager (DPM) at Zachary Piper Solutions is responsible for supporting a United States Air Force research and development program, specifically focusing on a hypersonic weapon system. This role involves managing contract proposals, ensuring compliance with program requirements, and contributing to the company's growth and profitability through effective program management and vendor oversight.

Responsibilities

• Supports program management team in driving project portfolio execution to achieve key business and financial objectives.
• Assists with proposal development and monitoring, including pricing and ongoing support.
• Monitors program activities to ensure compliance with product specifications and statement of work performance requirements, schedules, and cost commitments.
• Prepares price models, contract proposals, and modifications.
• Responsible for monthly reporting and analysis deliverables to company management.
• Oversees vendor contracts and renewals.
• Generates purchase requisitions and tracks procurement activities including receiving, invoices, and validating project codes.
• Contributes to achievement of company goals and operating plans with direct impact on results.
• Responsible for participating in special projects that are integral to programs.

Requirements

• Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance.
• 15+ years of experience in project management, systems engineering, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline.
• Experience with government and commercial acquisition processes, and basic contracts management.
• Experience with program or project management supporting U.S. Government contracts involving information systems development, deployment, and operations & maintenance.
• Experience with hypersonic systems and prototyping projects.
