About the position

The Deputy Project Manager/Civil Engineer in the Energy Market at Dewberry Engineers Incorporated is responsible for supporting the Project Manager in managing client relationships, project financials, and conducting site visits. This role focuses on site/civil engineering projects, particularly in land development within the Energy Market Segment, including linear and site energy projects. The position requires a client-focused, organized engineer who can handle various tasks such as permitting, site layout, grading, and stormwater management design.

Responsibilities

• Site/civil development including grading design, roadway design, stormwater management design, and erosion and sediment control design
• Supporting business development, marketing, and presentations
• Conducting code research, writing specifications, preparing cost estimates, and obtaining permitting

Requirements

• BS degree in Civil Engineering
• PE required
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
• 4-8 years of progressive design experience directly related to site/civil development projects
• Proven track record of meeting project and client deadlines
• Ability to work in a timely fashion to meet project budgets
• Effective communication skills with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and review agency staff
• Ability to compose technical reports, memorandums, and other written communications
• Ability to multi-task and work simultaneously on several projects
• Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and project requirements
