Alamo NEX Construction, LLC is seeking a Deputy Quality Control Manager to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This position is integral to the successful execution of the Interstate 35 (I-35) NEX Central Project, a significant $1.5 billion design-build initiative selected by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The Deputy Quality Control Manager will be responsible for coordinating quality control tests in accordance with contract specifications and standard practices. This role involves assisting in the preparation and support of monthly reports, ensuring that Inspection Points Program (IPP) checklists and daily reports are accurately documented and reported. The successful candidate will implement methods and procedures outlined in the approved Construction Quality Management Plan (CQMP) and will be tasked with reviewing existing reporting to identify issues, documenting them through Nonconformity Reports (NCR), Construction Deficiency Reports (CDR), Corrective Action Reports (CAR), or Preventive Action Reports (PAR). In this role, the Deputy Quality Control Manager will assess existing structures to determine the disposition of all nonconformities and will implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary. Collaboration with management, various Independent Quality Firms (IQF), and TxDOT representatives is essential. Additionally, the Deputy Quality Control Manager will provide training on quality processes to employees and subcontractors, ensuring that all team members are well-versed in quality assurance practices. This position is a full-time role, requiring 40 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
