About the position

The Deputy Regional Manager will support and drive regional operations with a focus on last-mile delivery and logistics management. This role requires a strategic thinker who is organized and results-driven, assisting in the management of daily activities and working closely with the regional management team to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction. Fluency in Chinese is essential for effective communication with diverse teams and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of regional strategies for optimizing last-mile delivery operations.
  • Manage daily logistics and delivery operations, including route planning and fleet management.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of drivers and operational personnel.
  • Monitor and manage the regional P&L, ensuring budget adherence and cost control.
  • Identify inefficiencies in delivery processes and implement improvements.
  • Oversee key regional projects and initiatives, ensuring timely execution.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to identify sales growth opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on operational performance and financial outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in last-mile delivery or logistics management.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written Chinese.
  • Demonstrated financial management skills, including understanding P&L statements.
  • Experience in managing complex logistics operations and improving processes.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Solid analytical skills for evaluating operational performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
  • Deep understanding of the last-mile delivery and logistics industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with logistics management software and route optimization tools.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.
