About the position

The Dermatology Medical Assistant position involves both front office and back office responsibilities within a well-established dermatology practice in Huntington Beach. The role provides an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of medical billing while working closely with physicians and physician assistants in a variety of dermatological settings, including medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.

Responsibilities

• Assist with front office tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
• Support back office operations including preparing patients for examinations and assisting during procedures.
• Learn and apply medical billing fundamentals in a dermatology setting.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and physician assistants to provide quality patient care.

Requirements

• Experience in medical billing is preferred.
• Ability to work in both front office and back office roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a dermatology practice is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
