About the position

We have a full time opening for a Dermatology Medical Assistant or Certified Derm Tech in our Bellaire, Texas office. The successful candidate will work with one of our caring and detailed Physicians in General/Cosmetic Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology. You will work hard and have the chance to be part of an extraordinary team! Applicants must be detail orientated, have experience with rooming & educating patients, obtaining procedure consents, assisting with procedures, documenting accurately in the EMR, scribing for physician, completing patient call backs, calling patients with pathology test results, logging & tracking pathology, completing prior authorizations, removing sutures and other duties as assigned. Successful applicants will be quick thinking, team players who are passionate about helping others. They will possess the ability to document accurately and quickly, have knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical and medication abbreviations and have the ability to work productively as part of the team. Certified MA's who have experience in the field of Dermatology will be considered first. Our performance bar is high and we strive to be the best in the field. Responsibilities

Rooming & educating patients
Obtaining procedure consents
Assisting with procedures
Documenting accurately in the EMR
Scribing for physician
Completing patient call backs
Calling patients with pathology test results
Logging & tracking pathology
Completing prior authorizations
Removing sutures
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Authorized to work in the United States
Possess CMA or DTECH certification or ability to obtain within 30 - 60 days of hire
Able to perform job duties
Able to report to work as assigned
