About the position

The Dermatology Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing the clinical flow and daily operations of the dermatology practice. This role involves managing staff schedules, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining patient satisfaction. The manager will also handle payroll, inventory, and various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage clinical flow and daily functions of the practice.
  • Manage employee schedules and ensure all staff complete their job tasks by deadlines.
  • Assist with advertising efforts in the local area using marketing materials.
  • Monitor and compete with local dermatologist pricing and products.
  • Ensure all reports (daily, weekly, monthly) are completed by deadlines.
  • Submit payroll at the end of pay periods and make changes to time cards through Paycom.
  • Audit NextGen daily reports and worklogs.
  • Resolve conflicts among staff in a professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and other government regulations.
  • Make bank deposits and send copies of deposit receipts to the appropriate department.
  • Maintain inventory and send supply orders as needed.
  • Assign and oversee the maintenance of logs (Botox Log, Narcotic Log, MOHS Log, etc.).
  • Take necessary disciplinary measures with approval from the manager.
  • Ensure all vehicle maintenance, registration, and insurance cards are up to date.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of dermatology practice operations and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage staff and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems and reporting tools, such as Paycom.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with marketing and advertising in a healthcare context.
  • Familiarity with NextGen software for auditing and reporting.
