Design and Analysis Engineer (Electronic Sys Design & Analy)

About the position

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Fighters Mission Computing Hardware Engineer – Fighters Mission Systems Avionics located in Berkeley, MO. This position involves working with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements, analyzing and translating those requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications. The role includes designing hardware, software, and interface specifications, testing and validating to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements, and assisting in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. The engineer will also solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle and research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs. This position is expected to be 100% onsite, and the selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Additionally, this position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance, which necessitates US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
• Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications.
• Design hardware, software, and interface specifications.
• Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
• Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
• Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
• Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 5+ years of work related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree OR 3+ years of work related experience with a Master’s degree OR a PhD.
