About the position

DISHER is currently partnering with a local leader in the Architecture and Engineering (A&E) space in search of a Design Architect. This company values its people as its greatest asset, striving to approach every situation with empathy, build strong relationships, foster teamwork, and create an inclusive environment where you can be your best self and do your best work. As part of the Planning and Design team, the Design Architect will play a crucial role in leading the design and development of architectural solutions for a variety of commercial, educational, and institutional projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, oversee various design phases, and ensure that projects meet client requirements, timelines, and regulatory standards. In this role, you will lead the conceptualization and execution of architectural design solutions for commercial and educational buildings. You will create detailed architectural drawings, 3D models, and renderings using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Enscape. It is essential to ensure that designs comply with all building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. You will manage architectural projects from design through completion, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and resources are met. Collaboration with engineers, interior designers, and other stakeholders will be key to integrating architectural designs with other disciplines. Additionally, you will provide guidance on material selection, sustainability principles, and innovative design approaches. Conducting site visits, field verifications, and assessments to ensure design feasibility and code compliance will be part of your responsibilities. Staying current on architectural trends, technologies, and materials will enhance project outcomes. You will also review and approve architectural documents and specifications, conducting quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design standards. Mentorship and leadership are vital aspects of this position, as you will mentor junior designers and collaborate with team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will lead design presentations and communicate design concepts to clients and project teams, interfacing with clients to understand their vision and translating it into creative design solutions. Preparing and presenting design proposals, reports, and visual materials to stakeholders will also be part of your role.
