About the position

The Design Architect at iSeatz is responsible for leading the design vision of the platform, ensuring alignment with business and user needs while maintaining design consistency. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to create data-based solutions and enhance user experiences across web and mobile applications. The Design Architect will mentor a team of designers and drive the evolution of design systems, all while adhering to industry best practices and accessibility standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and maintenance of data-based solutions using industry best practices.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify areas for optimization.
  • Present proposed solutions internally and to clients to gather feedback and approval.
  • Maintain design consistency and coherence across the iSeatz platform.
  • Ensure design vision aligns with business and user needs.
  • Mentor and guide a team of designers, setting standards for design quality and innovation.
  • Drive the creation and evolution of design systems and component libraries.
  • Collaborate with product managers to review stories and functional requirements for new features.
  • Work in an agile environment with product teams and frontend architects to implement designs.
  • Engage regularly with teams in a co-located space, approximately once per quarter.

Requirements

  • At least ten years of proven work experience in Product Design across web and mobile applications, preferably with five or more focused on design systems.
  • Master's Degree or above, or equivalent experience in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, or related field.
  • Proven track record of leading complex design projects and driving business impact.
  • Strong background in user research, accessibility, and design thinking methodologies.
  • Experience working within and building upon design systems.
  • Skilled in designing mockups and creating prototypes using industry-standard design tools like Figma, Sketch, or comparable programs.
  • Must present a portfolio of industry examples illustrating step-by-step solutions to project requirements.
  • Experience driving design decisions for e-commerce solutions.
  • Experience working iteratively in cross-functional, agile environments alongside a geographically diverse team.
