About the position
The Design Assurance Quality Engineer for Hardware & Software at Philips is responsible for ensuring that the company's products meet quality and compliance standards throughout the design and development process. This role emphasizes patient safety and involves oversight of quality, reliability, and risk management activities during the product lifecycle. The engineer will monitor safety risk management performance and ensure that all deliverables are properly maintained and updated as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Support the design for hardware and software to meet quality and compliance standards.
- Provide oversight of quality, reliability, PMS Plans, and Risk Management activities during the product lifecycle.
- Ensure product safety risk management deliverables are created, maintained, and stored in the Risk Management file.
- Monitor and report on the product's safety risk management performance in the field.
- Update deliverables as needed based on performance monitoring.
Requirements
- 3+ years of development or quality engineering experience.
- Knowledge of design controls and risk management.
- Experience in software development and medical devices is a plus.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field.
