About the position

The Design Build Project Quality Manager at HNTB Corporation is a pivotal role within the Design Build Organization, focusing on ensuring quality management for fast-paced transportation infrastructure projects. This position involves developing and implementing the Quality Management System (QMS), training project teams, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance quality performance and manage risks effectively. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills to oversee quality metrics and compliance across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the implementation of the program/project quality management plan in accordance with client and HNTB standards.
• Review and approve subconsultant quality plans and ensure adherence to the project quality plan.
• Monitor compliance with quality management standards and report on performance to project leadership and clients.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop technologies and processes for effective quality management.
• Establish quality performance metrics to achieve delivery and client quality objectives.
• Participate in monthly meetings to report on project quality performance.
• Develop and deliver training on the program/project quality management plan.
• Manage a quality audit program and corrective action system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in quality management/engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 10 years of experience managing a quality program, including auditing in planning, design, or construction phases.
• Experience implementing quality management plans in compliance with ISO 9001 and/or FTA Quality Management System requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Registered Professional Engineer (specific to Design-Build Projects)
• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
• PMP, DBIA, AICP, or CMAA Certifications.
