About the position

The Design Build Project Quality Manager at HNTB Corporation is a pivotal role within the Design Build Organization, focusing on ensuring quality management for fast-paced transportation infrastructure projects. This position involves developing and implementing the Quality Management System (QMS), training project teams, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance quality performance and manage risks effectively. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills to oversee quality plans and metrics, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the implementation of the program/project quality management plan in accordance with client and FTA requirements.
• Review and approve subconsultant quality plans and monitor adherence to the project quality plan.
• Participate in work planning with clients and project teams to determine quality management efforts.
• Establish and implement quality performance metrics to achieve delivery and client quality objectives.
• Participate in monthly program/project meetings to report on quality performance to leadership and clients.
• Develop and oversee training for the program/project quality management plan.
• Manage a quality audit program and a corrective action system for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in quality management/engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 10 years of experience managing a quality program, including auditing in planning, design, and construction phases.
• Experience implementing quality management plans in compliance with ISO 9001 and/or FTA Quality Management System requirements.

• Registered Professional Engineer (specific to Design-Build Projects)
• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
• PMP, DBIA, AICP, or CMAA Certifications.
