About the position

The Design Build Project Quality Manager at HNTB Corporation is a senior-level role focused on managing quality assurance for transportation infrastructure projects. This position is integral to project leadership, responsible for developing and implementing the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The role involves training project teams, refining performance metrics, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance quality performance and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the implementation of the program/project quality management plan in accordance with client and HNTB requirements.
• Review and approve subconsultant quality plans and ensure adherence to the project quality plan.
• Monitor compliance with quality management standards and report on quality performance to project leadership and clients.
• Establish and implement quality performance metrics to achieve project objectives.
• Conduct training on the program/project quality management plan for project teams.
• Manage a quality audit program and corrective action system to identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in project meetings to report on quality performance and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in quality management/engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 10 years of experience managing a quality program, including auditing in planning, design, and construction phases.
• Experience implementing quality management plans in compliance with ISO 9001 and/or FTA Quality Management System requirements.
• Strong knowledge of quality management principles and practices on large capital programs.

Nice-to-haves

• Registered Professional Engineer certification.
• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE).
• PMP, DBIA, AICP, or CMAA Certifications.
