About the position

The Design Build Project Quality Manager at HNTB Corporation plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality management of transportation infrastructure projects. This position involves developing and implementing the Quality Management System (QMS), providing training and coaching to project teams, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance quality performance and manage risks effectively. The Quality Manager is integral to project leadership, reporting to senior management and engaging with clients to uphold HNTB's standards of performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the implementation of the program/project quality management plan in accordance with client and HNTB requirements.
• Participate in work planning with clients and project management teams to determine quality management efforts.
• Review and approve subconsultant quality plans and ensure adherence to project quality plans.
• Monitor compliance with quality management standards and report on performance to project leadership and clients.
• Establish and implement quality performance metrics to achieve project delivery objectives.
• Conduct monthly meetings to report on project quality performance to leadership and clients.
• Develop and deliver training on the program/project quality management plan.
• Manage a quality audit program and corrective action system to identify improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in quality management/engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 10 years of experience managing a quality program, including auditing in planning, design, or construction phases.
• Experience implementing quality management plans compliant with ISO 9001 and/or FTA Quality Management System requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Registered Professional Engineer (specific to Design-Build Projects)
• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
• PMP, DBIA, AICP, or CMAA Certifications.
