About the position
The Design Build Project Quality Manager at HNTB Corporation plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality management of transportation infrastructure projects. This position involves developing and implementing the Quality Management System (QMS), providing training and coaching to project teams, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance quality performance and manage risks effectively. The role requires a strong focus on compliance with quality standards and continuous improvement across projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the implementation of the program/project quality management plan in accordance with client and HNTB requirements.
- Review and approve subconsultant quality plans and ensure adherence to the project quality plan.
- Monitor compliance with quality management standards and report on quality performance to project leadership and clients.
- Establish and implement quality performance metrics to achieve project objectives.
- Participate in monthly project meetings to report on quality performance and recommend improvements.
- Manage a quality audit program and corrective action system to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide training on the program/project quality management plan to project teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in quality management/engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 10 years of experience managing a quality program, including auditing experience in planning, design, and construction phases.
- Experience implementing quality management plans in compliance with ISO 9001 and/or FTA Quality Management System requirements.
- Strong knowledge of quality management principles and practices on large capital programs.
Nice-to-haves
- Registered Professional Engineer certification.
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE).
- PMP, DBIA, AICP, or CMAA Certifications.
