About the position

The Design Build Project Quality Manager at HNTB Corporation is a senior-level role focused on managing quality assurance for transportation infrastructure projects. This position is integral to project leadership teams, responsible for developing and implementing the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The role involves training project teams, refining performance metrics, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance quality performance and profitability on design-build projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the implementation of the program/project quality management plan in accordance with client and HNTB requirements.
• Review and approve subconsultant quality plans and ensure adherence to the project quality plan.
• Monitor compliance with quality management standards and report on quality performance to project leadership.
• Establish and implement quality performance metrics to achieve client quality management objectives.
• Participate in monthly program/project meetings to report on project quality performance.
• Develop and oversee training for the program/project quality management plan.
• Manage a quality audit program and a corrective action system for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in quality management/engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 10 years of experience managing a quality program, including auditing experience in planning, design, and construction phases.
• Experience implementing quality management plans in compliance with ISO 9001 and/or FTA Quality Management System requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Registered Professional Engineer (specific to Design-Build Projects)
• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
• PMP, DBIA, AICP, or CMAA Certifications.
