About the position

The Design Consultant at CB2 plays a crucial role in transforming customer spaces through modern design solutions. This part-time position focuses on providing exceptional customer service and design expertise, driving sales growth while ensuring a positive and inspiring experience for customers. The role involves both in-store and virtual consultations, utilizing design tools to create tailored solutions that align with the CB2 brand aesthetics.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and provide enriching customer interactions through elevated design offerings.
• Create moodboards, 2D floor plans, product lists, and style inspiration for customers.
• Lead one-on-one design consultations in person or virtually via email and phone.
• Deliver projects in a timely manner while adhering to determined timelines.
• Understand and communicate the CB2 brand aesthetics and merchandising strategy across various channels.
• Meet individual sales, KPI, and service goals while engaging customers on the sales floor.
• Stay informed about marketplace and industry trends to better serve customers.
• Actively listen to customers to identify their needs and communicate relevant company loyalty services.

Requirements

• 1+ years of relevant experience in Furniture Sales/Home Decor Design or retail/customer service experience.
• Understanding of basic design functions including spatial planning, fabric selection, lighting, and interior design styles.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate the brand vision and customer needs.
• Strong affinity for technology, including 2D and 3D design tools, Google Suite, and video conferencing.
