About the position

The Design Content Visionary Manager (Technical Education Manager) at GAF Commercial is responsible for curating technical education content for the design community, enhancing storytelling through various mediums, and collaborating with the Building & Roofing Science Team. This remote position aims to promote technical literacy, provide concierge service to architects, and support the sales team through upstream customer engagement, ultimately driving thought leadership and innovative engagement with the design community.

Responsibilities

• Develop new content including visual and written storytelling to support business focus and industry relevance.
• Present content through national webinars, regional tradeshows, and national conferences.
• Assist with content development for AIA, Greenbuild, and IRE.
• Update and improve existing content using interactive learning approaches such as video clips and design challenges.
• Enhance communication of educational content through newsletters and social media.
• Participate in larger commercial initiatives as requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Graphic Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree.
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• 7+ years of graphic design, architectural design, or building enclosure experience.
• Content Creation & Development Skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficient in Google Business Suites or Microsoft Business Suite.
• Technical knowledge of the roofing industry.
• Industry certifications such as AIA, CDT, LEED AP, PE, RRO, RRC are preferred.
• Experience with SalesForce.
• Strong public speaking and content development skills.
• Knowledge of roof systems and their interaction with the building enclosure.
• Working knowledge of building science.
• Instructional Design, Sketch-up / CAD abilities.
• Graphic design and video editing skills.
• Social media management experience.
