About the position

The Design Coordinator at Holder Construction Company plays a crucial role in integrating design and construction processes for complex, large-scale commercial projects. This position involves collaboration with internal teams and design partners to ensure project success through effective communication, risk management, and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal preconstruction and construction teams and design partners to integrate design and construction processes.
  • Identify, track, and address challenges during the design and construction phases of projects.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications across all CSI divisions.
  • Conduct cross-discipline drawing coordination and design quality reviews.
  • Articulate design document expectations and assess document status by phase (SD, DD, CD).
  • Contribute constructability and technical expertise to the design evolution of projects.
  • Coach and mentor junior associates.

Requirements

  • Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related design or construction degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the A/E industry or related fields.
  • Active Architecture license preferred.
  • Experience in aviation preferred.
