About the position

The Design Director, Experience Design at Momentum Worldwide is responsible for leading the design phase of brand experiences, transforming creative concepts into exceptional executions. This role requires a deep understanding of various design disciplines and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. The Design Director will mentor junior team members, present work to clients, and ensure that the design aligns with client objectives and industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Takes concepts from the creative team into the design phase development through to final execution
• Approaches projects with an analytical and strategy focused lens
• Develops thorough understanding of clients brand as well as their competitors
• Demonstrates exceptional knowledge and application of all Experience Design pillars, including Architecture, Environmental, Interior, Retail, Graphic, Digital and Motion Design
• Stays abreast of industry trends and happenings
• Manages multiple projects with fast deadlines; thriving in a dynamic environment
• Leads the multidisciplinary experience design team to create exceptional experiences
• Presents work internally and develops collaborative relationships with other leads
• Presents work to clients and develops a trusting relationship
• Mentors more Junior team members
• Supports Momentum's Values
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
• 10-12+ years experience preferred
• Strong portfolio demonstrating your passion for design and experiential
• Strong skill in layouts, typography, line composition, color, sketching, visualization, moodboards, material application, spatial diagrams, user journeys and graphic design fundamentals
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant software
• Natural communicator with strong visual and verbal presentation skills
