About the position

As a Design Drafter I at PCB Piezotronics, Inc., you will be an integral part of our Design Drafting department, primarily utilizing Autodesk Inventor and occasionally AutoCAD to perform basic drafting tasks. Your role will involve creating and updating drawings in response to Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), ensuring that all work is reviewed and approved by the Design Drafting Supervisor. You will maintain a drafting database to track the progress of your assignments, recording key dates such as when tasks were received, started, and completed. This position is designed for entry-level candidates, and no prior experience is required, making it an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or those with relevant trade school experience. In addition to your drafting responsibilities, you will assist engineering with minor design projects as directed by the Senior Designer or Drafting Supervisor. Responsibilities

  • Perform basic drafting using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Create and update drawings per Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
  • Review own work and forward to Design Drafting Supervisor for approval.
  • Maintain work via a drafting database, recording key dates for assignments.
  • Assist Engineering with minor design projects as instructed by Senior Designer or Drafting Supervisor.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Design Drafting Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a two-year degree in Drafting or equivalent trade school experience.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in legal drafting or civil engineering.
