About the position

The Design Drafter will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, focusing on layout and structural assemblies. This role requires collaboration with customers, the drafting manager, and shop personnel, primarily working with sheet and structural metal components.

Responsibilities

• Produce and update technical drawings with specific project details.
• Research and detail component designs with attention to spatial and mechanical relationships.
• Troubleshoot design issues and maintain adherence to company drawing standards.
• Manage document control for revisions and updates.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or CAD Certificate.
• At least 3 years of experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks (not counting educational experience).
• Background in metal fabrication or manufacturing.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Nice-to-haves

• Preferred experience in manufacturing drafting.
