About the position

The Design Drafter at Mokon is responsible for generating flow, electrical, assembly, and other related drawings for specific model systems using software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. This role involves creating accurate working drawings for production, maintaining drawing files, and collaborating with product line engineers to ensure designs meet production needs.

Responsibilities

• Generate new complete and accurate working drawings (schematics) for production on AutoCAD under the direction of product line engineers.
• Generate drawings for project work relative to all product lines and the company in general.
• Maintain scheduling for new drawing generation based on production schedule demand for new orders.
• Customize AutoCAD for windows directories or blocks for drawings.
• Maintain drawing number file in Navision for all systems, including updates of pertinent information on item/BOM cards.
• Maintain drawing filing system for all drawings completed in SolidWorks and AutoCAD before and after check.
• Create solid modeled drawings for large systems for assemblers and welders.
• Create and maintain component part drawings of parts to be used for system designs in SolidWorks.
• Work from verbal and written instructions to develop designs from concept to finished product/design.
• Adhere to work instructions and SOPs in accordance with ISO 9001.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school will be considered with 4+ years related experience and/or training.
• 2 years of experience with AutoCAD (Required).
• 2 years of experience with SolidWorks (Required).
• 3 years of drafting experience (Required).
