About the position

The Design Drafter at Mokon is responsible for creating detailed flow, electrical, assembly, and related drawings for various model systems. Utilizing software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD, the drafter will generate accurate schematics and layouts for production, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 standards. This role is crucial in supporting the engineering team and maintaining the integrity of the design process.

Responsibilities

• Generate new complete and accurate working drawings (schematics) for production on AutoCAD under the direction of product line engineers.
• Generate drawings for project work related to all product lines and the company in general.
• Maintain scheduling for new drawing generation based on production schedule demand for new orders.
• Customize AutoCAD for windows directories or blocks for drawings.
• Maintain drawing number file in Navision for all systems, updating pertinent information on item/BOM cards.
• Maintain drawing filing system for all drawings completed in SolidWorks and AutoCAD before and after checks.
• Create solid modeled drawings for large systems for assemblers and welders.
• Create and maintain component part drawings (libraries) of parts for system designs in SolidWorks.
• Work from verbal and written instructions to develop designs from concept to finished product/design.
• Adhere to work instructions and SOPs in accordance with ISO 9001.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school will be considered with 4+ years related experience and/or training.
• 2 years of experience with AutoCAD (Required).
• 2 years of experience with SolidWorks (Required).
• 3 years of experience in drafting (Required).
