About the position

This position is for a Design Engineer specializing in Electrical Engineering at Terex Corporation, located in Moses Lake, Washington. The role focuses on product design for heavy off-road mobile equipment, where the engineer will be responsible for developing and applying reliable engineering methods, theories, and research techniques to investigate and solve technical problems. The engineer will implement technical projects that involve the design, development, testing, and documentation of products related to heavy off-road mobile equipment. The Design Engineer will perform design and testing of electrical control systems, which includes working on harnesses, power distribution, and embedded system design and programming. The role requires the development of new designs from initial concept to implementation, as well as the improvement of existing designs. Compliance with applicable global and regional standards must be verified and documented. The engineer will also specify component and machine testing, create procedures, and detail testing processes. Collaboration is key in this role, as the engineer will work closely with a global design engineering team to maintain a dynamic and creative engineering work atmosphere. Documentation of designs will be done using solid part models, assemblies, and detailed drawings in DraftSight and SolidWorks. The engineer will verify designs by building and testing prototypes and test benches, and will create and maintain complete machine product structures, including bills of materials and service parts information. Additionally, the engineer will research, specify, and test manufactured and purchased parts while working closely with the materials group and suppliers. A focus on design for manufacturability is essential, as the engineer will collaborate with global manufacturing teams and production facilities to assist in product and process improvements.
