About the position

The Design Engineer III position at Fluor is focused on providing essential administrative processes and technical knowledge to support engineering projects. The role involves serving as an Area Lead on assigned projects, performing moderately complex engineering assignments, and ensuring the delivery of quality services that enhance Fluor's competitiveness in the global marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Apply Cost Competitive Execution techniques to develop cost-effective project solutions for discipline engineering work.
• Develop and review specifications, including design criteria.
• Participate in equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities.
• Assign work to teams and monitor/manage the work.
• Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve moderately complex engineering problems.
• Review vendor equipment documentation for compliance with project requirements and seek resolution for discrepancies.
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems in accordance with project objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in engineering design and project execution.
• Strong technical knowledge in engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
• Experience in developing specifications and design criteria.
