About the position

The Design Engineer for Parkwide Technical Infrastructure at Universal Orlando Resort is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and testing of the connected systems that form the backbone communications infrastructure for attractions and facilities. This role involves collaboration with contracted vendors to ensure the successful delivery of technical solutions that enhance the guest experience and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and implementation of connected systems for attractions and facilities.
  • Collaborate with contracted vendors to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Conduct testing of the communications infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Coordinate with various teams to integrate A/V and lighting systems into the infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in design and implementation of technical infrastructure systems.
  • Strong understanding of A/V and lighting systems integration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves
