About the position

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing reliable conveyor solutions that meet customer expectations for quality, price, and timely delivery. This role involves collaborating with the Application Team, developing designs that adhere to standards and best practices, and ensuring that all specifications and internal design standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Work with Application Team to develop reliable conveyor solutions
• Develop designs using standards and best practice solutions
• Review and revise designs to best meet customers' needs
• Determine the best components for the desired outcome to meet specifications and customer needs
• Design with ease of manufacture in mind
• Understand the entire scope of the project and communicate clearly the requirements both internal of the design as well as communication capacities and restrictions
• Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to
• Ensure adherence to customer supplied specifications as well as internal design standards

Requirements

• 5-10 years experience in mechanical design of conveyors and associated hardware
• Knowledge of raw materials
• 4-year Mechanical Engineering Degree (BSME or Similar)
• Knowledge of AWS and ANSI standards
• Strong working knowledge of machines and manufacturing processes
