About the position

The Design Sales Associate at Floors Etc. is responsible for selling flooring products and installations while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves engaging with clients, coordinating job measures, writing proposals, and ensuring smooth installation processes. The position emphasizes growth, knowledge, and the ability to impact customers' lives positively by helping them create beautiful spaces.

Responsibilities

• Sell flooring, including installations
• Keep up-to-date on the wide selection of floors and their benefits and warranties
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Meet with clients in the showroom
• Coordinate job measures and estimates
• Write proposals and sales orders
• Work with Admin to create work orders and job schedules
• Follow up after job completion
• Visit job sites to ensure smooth installation
• Coordinate with accounting for job payments
• Build client relationships
• Network with other store employees
• Use computer database for merchandise availability and order processing
• Assist customers with flooring choices and explain features/benefits
• Meet or exceed all required sales goals and metrics

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand plans
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and RFMS or other estimating software
• Strong technical knowledge of flooring
• Project Management experience
• Good computer skills
• Good color and design sense
• Great people skills
• Great communication skills
