About the position

HBK Engineering is seeking a Design Specialist to perform CADD drafting and calculation duties using AutoCAD Civil 3D. The role involves interpreting records, processing geospatial data, and creating linework to support utility infrastructure projects. Responsibilities

• Use CADD to calculate and interpret existing record boundaries and prepare new boundary documents in AutoCAD Civil 3D under supervision.
• Perform assignments requiring fundamental CADD drafting techniques in accordance with industry standards.
• Prepare project base mapping, existing conditions, and easement calculations.
• Oversee and manage associative drawing file entities.
• Create Digital Terrain Models (DTM) and process GPS data in Trimble Business Center.
• Prepare various land survey deliverable products including easement exhibits, ALTA/ACSM surveys, and topographic surveys.
• Perform geospatial support tasks independently and as part of a team, compliant with industry standards.
• Adhere to drawing standards and templates and perform design tasks as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with Autodesk's AutoCAD software or an Associate's degree with 5 years' experience.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Trimble Business Center.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Ability to understand and interpret various drawing disciplines (civil, electrical, structural, architectural).
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
