About the position

We are looking for an experienced UX Architect to support the Design Systems team of an industry-leading tech client for Aquent Studios. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the foundation of the information architecture (IA) across the product suite. Your expertise in content modeling, strategy, both frontend and backend structures, and design systems will be crucial in informing a scalable and cohesive user journey. You will work with the internal Design Strategy team to ensure their vision can be seamlessly implemented through a scalable and cohesive user journey. Additionally, you will collaborate with backend engineers, Design Systems engineers, and the Design Systems leadership to ensure feasibility for implementation. Your role will involve conducting a detailed audit and analysis of the end-to-end product and content experience from both the backend and front-end perspective. You will develop comprehensive content models that capture the structure, relationships, and taxonomies of the digital content, ensuring optimal content organization that aligns with the product and technology strategy. Collaborating with the Design Strategy and UX research teams, you will gather insights and feedback to inform content modeling, and in some cases, you may conduct unmoderated research yourself. You will translate research findings into actionable design recommendations and strategies, leveraging content modeling techniques to create logical structures to organize the product's content, defining relationships between different pieces of information and how they all connect. As a Design Systems Architect, you will architect the design system to be responsive and uphold accessibility standards. You will collaborate closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation and integration, evolving design principles, guidelines, and best practices to ensure a cohesive and consistent user experience across all touch-points while keeping up with industry trends. Your responsibilities will also include driving the evolution and governance of our design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across platforms and products, and enabling flexibility for experimentation while planning for future iterations.
