About the position

In this co-op opportunity at Skyworks, you will learn and participate in developing advanced, state-of-the-art RF front-end modules, working with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts within Skyworks. This position is designed for students currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or related program, providing a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in the field of RF/microwave testing and engineering. You will be immersed in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes global collaboration and creative thinking, allowing you to make meaningful contributions to the team. As a Design & Validation Co-op, you will be involved in various aspects of the development and validation process. Your responsibilities will include validating and developing multi-chip modules, measuring RF module performance across different supply, temperature, and frequency conditions, and creating compliance matrices against specifications. You will also have the opportunity to present your findings during data reviews, perform lab testing using standard RF test equipment, and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during testing. Responsibilities

  • Working with experienced engineers to validate/develop multi-chip modules
  • Measuring RF module performance across supply, temperature, and frequency
  • Creating compliance matrices against spec, plotting results and analyzing data
  • Participating and presenting in data reviews
  • Performing lab testing using standard RF test equipment
  • Troubleshooting and resolving test/bench or technical issues
  • Collaborating with other engineers and technicians
  • Running simulations using design tools such as ADS/HFSS and/or Cadence Virtuoso is a plus

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) BS or MS program
  • Commitment to work onsite for 6 months
  • Strong desire to learn, grow and make impact
  • Strong career interest in RF/microwave testing and engineering
  • Knowledge of transmission-line theory and circuit design is a plus
  • Hands-on experience in a lab using a network analyzer and other RF instruments is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of coding (Python etc.) is a plus
  • Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of transmission-line theory and circuit design
