About the position

The Engineering Technician role at Actalent involves providing essential engineering, product, and installation information for new and reconstruction cooling tower projects. This position focuses on generating detailed drawings and bills of materials, assisting in field problem resolution, and designing new components using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Generate installation and fabrication drawings for cooling tower components with supervision.
• Assist with field problem resolution.
• Design and develop new components using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Conduct inspections as required.

Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• 0-3 years of experience in detailing and application of structural, mechanical, and materials detailing and application skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with materials of construction including lumber, fiberglass, steel, and concrete.
• Experience in practical construction and assembly of products.
• Ability to communicate and cooperate effectively with personnel.
• Ability to produce accurate and complete bills of materials and drawings.
