About the position

Join our Picture Perfect Landscapes Team! We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Designer / Architect to join our dynamic team in Memphis, TN. At Picture Perfect Landscapes, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional lawn and landscaping services to our clients since 2002. As a Designer / Architect, you will play a crucial role in creating both creative and functional 3D and 2D designs for residential and commercial properties. Your responsibilities will include performing site measurements, taking pictures, and creating base layouts in design software. You will select appropriate plants based on site conditions and create plant and hardscape palettes for your designs. Additionally, you will visit sales consultations as needed, assist estimators with designs by creating simple sketches or providing ideas, and meet with clients to discuss their ideas and goals to help bring their visions to life. You will also check in on jobsites to ensure that the vision is being represented as designed and provide take-off quantities and calculations for estimators after design completion. Staying up to date on current landscape design trends is also an essential part of your role.

Responsibilities

• Perform site measurements and take pictures for design purposes.
• Create base layouts in design software.
• Select appropriate plants considering site conditions.
• Create plant and hardscape palettes for designs.
• Visit sales consultations as needed.
• Assist estimators with designs by creating simple sketches or providing ideas.
• Meet with clients to discuss ideas and goals to help bring their visions to life.
• Check in on jobsites to ensure the design vision is being represented accurately.
• Provide take-off quantities and calculations for estimators after design completion.
• Stay up to date on current landscape design trends.

Requirements

• Degree in landscape architecture or design, or at least 2 years of landscape design experience if no degree.
• Proficiency in Structure Studios or other 3D landscape design software.
• Knowledge of local plant material.
• Proficiency in Google programs: Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Portfolio of work samples is required in addition to resume.
