About the position

Lynx Projex is seeking a Designer/Drafter with expertise in Chief Architect Software to join our design-build firm in St Pete, FL. This full-time position involves creating designs, renderings, elevations, and blueprints for luxury remodels and interiors, while ensuring adherence to building and safety codes. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on designer who can accurately measure spaces and work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite meetings with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
• Measure spaces in homes, condos, town homes, and commercial properties.
• Draft designs using AutoCAD or Chief Architect software.
• Create detailed plans that outline the layout and appearance of installations.
• Develop 3D renderings to visualize design concepts.
• Suggest suitable materials and finishes for projects.
• Source products and materials extensively for client projects.
• Inform clients about the care and maintenance of their selected materials.
• Maintain accurate records of hours worked and activities completed for billing purposes.
• Ensure compliance with building and safety regulations throughout the project.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience as a designer.
• Familiarity with design and visualization tools.
• Samples of past completed projects.
• In-depth knowledge of local building codes.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Active listening skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Contractor Foreman software (preferred).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (a plus).
