About the position

DAHLIN is seeking an entry-level Designer/Drafter to join their Planning Team in Pleasanton, CA. This role involves developing design or technical solutions under general supervision, contributing to small projects or segments of larger projects. The position offers a hybrid work environment with a flexible schedule, requiring a minimum of three days in the office. Ideal candidates will have a background in urban planning and design, and will work collaboratively with other planning professionals.

Responsibilities

• Develop design or technical solutions under general supervision.
• Undertake a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard architectural techniques for small projects or selected segments of larger projects.
• Perform design layouts and features, researching, compiling, and recording information for assigned project work.
• Review drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards, implementing changes as directed.
• Assist project teams and other staff members as required.

Requirements

• Completion of Bachelor's in Architecture from an NAAB accredited program, with a minor or emphasis in Urban Planning.
• Completion of Master's in Urban Planning, City & Regional Planning, or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated skills and talent in Revit / BIM, AutoCAD, SketchUp modeling, Adobe Photoshop, and preparation of presentation materials.
• Excellent problem solver and independent thinker with good listening skills and strong follow-through.
• Strong verbal and graphic communication, organizational and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Commitment to their own professional growth as designer, architect, or planner.
• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictions or visa sponsorship.
