About the position

The Designer/Drafter position involves preparing detailed drawings and 3D models using CAD applications for various engineering projects. The role focuses on creating technical documentation and specifications to support equipment fabrication and assembly, while also participating in innovative design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assembly and detailed drawings using 3D CAD applications.
• Create technical drawings and 3D digital models based on measurements and specifications.
• Revise existing engineering drawings from sketches or layouts.
• Prepare bill of materials for assigned designs.
• Review drawings of other design personnel for completeness and accuracy.
• Create purchased item specification documents including vendor selection.
• Participate in design of innovative solutions.
• Travel to fabrication facilities, assembly facilities, and project locations as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a drafter or in a similar role.
• Strong mathematical capabilities and mechanical/electrical aptitude.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal, professional, and technical communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Autodesk Inventor operation.
